We Heal as One: "Pandemic ka lang, I am Filipino"

The new coronavirus disease or COVID-19 had brought a lot of changes not only for the country but the whole world from the past few months to present times, hoping that this pandemic will be over as soon as possible. Well, let me tell you this COVID-19, "Pandemic ka lang, I am Filipino".

The Department of Health (DOH) advises the following measures to prevent and control the spread of the virus: proper hand washing, social distancing, wearing face mask and observing proper cough etiquette. Whatever your age or status in life, you can make a change by simply following these protocols. Sharing these tips and measure to prevent the further spread of the virus is also a huge help. Thankfully, we are living in the modern world where information dissemination and giving awareness to people became easier which aids in reducing the spread and effects of the virus. During this times, we now realize that our health really is our wealth. Proper knowledge about this pandemic reduces anxiety and panic to people when they know what to do to stay safe. Let's be safe and stay at home. Let's pray that this will be over soon.

Hopefully, we are already flattening the curve and everything go back to normal. Filipinos are known for their resiliency and no pandemic could change that. The Filipino is resilient and prepared for any disasters and  even if this pandemic was unprecedented, I know that we can go through this. We fight as one. We heal as one.

Dream Come True

Our dreams are the reason why we keep going on.

Our dreams directs us on what we will become in life. For me, dreams should not stay as dreams. My dream should be my future.

Dreams do come true. But oftentimes, they become our worst nightmares. Don't let your dreams turn to nightmares. Your dream, your future.

Kannawidan 2020

This year is the 202nd celebration of Kannawidan Festival. Kannawidan is a variant term of the Ilocano word "tawid" meaning heritage or inheritance.

Ilocos Sur is a beautiful province located in the northern Luzon. It is rich in culture and heritage. To show their treasure to the world, Kannawidan festival was conceived to highlight these cultural traditions.

One mission of the festival pays attention to the children. Traditions and cultures are slowly unrecognized by younger generations and Kannawidan is a great way to bring these back and won't let it totally be oblived.

Change is Permanent

The only permanent thing in this world is change.

Don't wait for change to come. It should start with yourself. Change for the better. In order to be better is to change. Change is natural.

How about you? Do you want to change? Change starts within you.

Vigan Fiesta is really fun with all its activities. Celebrating the city's Longganisa Festival is very exciting and full of enjoyment. People get to watch the street dancing and showdown which for me is the main highlight of the fiesta.

Let's celebrate Longganisa Festival with a fat heart. Viva San Pablo! Viva Vigan! Viva! Viva! Viva!

New Year 2020

When one ends, another begins.

Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020! Welcoming a new year, we should also welcome our new selves. We should change, not for worse but for the better.

Stop your vices, start your prayers. Stop crying, start smiling. Stop the negativity, start being positive. Stop your selfishness and start being selfless.

A new year is a new blessing. So enjoy every moment of it for you might not notice that it is slowly ending. And might regret it.
